Merry Christmas From The Jeppesen's

2011 .........has brought us exciting changes.
Garen is still working at CUSC.  The  bishopric keeps him on his toes.  He loved taking Libbi to the Caribbean even though he got completely burnt!  Libbi loved traveling many times to Disneyland with the kids.  She is getting used to the idea of being Stake Camp Director.  A little overwhelming though.  Payton married Lana Nielson on Sept. 24th, 2011.  The newlyweds are loving married life.  She fits in perfectly and her sense of humor and beauty are both an extra joy in our lives.  Payton graduates April in Technology Management.  He received his pilot slot with the Air Force and will be training for the next 2 years as an AF pilot in  Enid, Oklahoma.  Payton and Lana will make the big move in May.  Tanner is loving BYU.  He has adjusted to the rigorous pre-med curriculum and the post-mish dating world. He has also worked at Tucano's Brazilian Grill for the past year. Jordan is loving aesthetician school.  She will graduate this May.  She has also worked at Tucano's as a hostess for the past 1 1/2 years.  She has had a lot of fun this fall traveling to several away BYU football games with her boyfriend's family, the Wonnacott's.  She was able to see several new places.  She especially enjoyed going to Oregon, where her boyfriend, Jimmy, served his mission, (coincidently the same mission Garen served in). Tate is a Sr. this year and loves to sing and act.  He won state last year with his pantomime, "Heavenly Bath".  He has performed in several plays and is currently in Madrigals and Acappella.  He runs on the track team in the spring and will be leaving on his mission in just a year.  Our little miss "McKenna" is growing up so quickly.  She is in 7th grade and has loved being a cheerleader.  She is growing by the day. She will soon catch up to her mom!  She keeps busy with her tumbling and piano lessons.  We are wishing you a Merry Christmas and may the spirit of the season fill your hearts and fill your homes throughout the coming year .

Christmas Eve

Ya....we still want to dress up
and do the the Nativity. We love it!
We miss Tanner being the Shepherd!

More of the 12 Days of Christmas

Another 12 days of Christmas tradition is spending the closest Saturday night at a Hotel by Temple Square. We then go to Temple Square to see the lights. Then Sunday morning we go to the Christmas Spoken Word. It is just so amazing to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing live and also
seeing the prophet. It just adds the exclamation mark at the end of our Christmas Season. It really puts the "Christ" in Christmas.

Our 12 Days of Christmas

Every year we have a tradition called the 12 days of Christmas. It is primarily done to bring the family together through activities the 12 days before Christmas. We started this tradition 3 years ago while Payton was on his mission. So this is the first time he has experienced this tradition. So we have 12 different sized boxes that are stacked on top of each other. Each box has an activity inside for the family to do together that night. We have had movie tickets...eating out....puzzles...games...you get the picture. Well some of the things we do are the same every year as for the pictures below. The kids love the box filled with bubble gum. We have a bubble blowing contest and every year we have a different winner! This year it was Payton. It is always something that makes us laugh till we cry. It is so much fun. Our kids now look forward to the 12 days of Christmas as much as Christmas morning.
